Ingredients
4mutton chops
2tbspmustard oil
1mediumonion finely chopped
Marinade
2tbspcurd
1 1/2tbspginger garlic paste
1tspsalt
1tspred chillies powder
1tbspcumin powder (jeera)
1tbspcoriander powder (dhania)
Garam masala (coarsely ground)
5cloves
5peppercorns
1"piece of cinnamon
1star anise
1black cardamom
5green cardamoms
Instructions
For the marinade, in a large bowl, add the ginger garlic paste to the curd
Add in the salt, red chillies powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
Add the mutton chops and mix until they are well coated. Leave it to marinate for an hour or two.
In a pressure cooker, add the mutton chops with the marinade, finely chopped onions, and the coarsely ground garam masala.
Add a cup of water and pressure cook it for four whistles. The chops should not be fully cooked.
Now take 2 tbsp of mustard oil in a pan. Heat it to smoking point and cool a bit.
Add in the mutton chops and saute for a minute.
Add in the rest of the masala from the cooker. Cook them on medium to low heat until the water dries up.
Mutton chops are ready to serve. Serve them with onion rings and lemon slices.
