Ingredients
1cupcurd
1/3cupgrated cucumber
1-2green chillies finely chopped
1/2tspsendha namak (rock salt)
1/4tspKashmiri red chilli powder (optional)
1/2tsproasted and crushed cumin seeds (jeera)
1tspchopped green coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
Grate the cucumber with the peel. Keep aside.
In the meantime, whisk the curd well in a large bowl.
Season it with salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, and roasted and crushed cumin seeds. Mix well.
Add in the grated cucumber and green chillies. Mix.
Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with Kashmiri red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds, and chopped green coriander leaves. The Navratri Vrat Special Cucumber Raita is ready to serve.
Notes
You can also use unflavored yogurt for this recipe.
This raita works great without fast too. Replace the sendha namak with regular salt.
