Honey Garlic Prawns

Juicy prawns coated in a sweet and sticky honey garlic sauce. The ever-popular Honey Garlic Prawns are quick and easy to make that will have you licking your fingers.

Ingredients
- 350 gms shelled and deveined large prawns
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- Oil for deep frying
- Spring onion greens for garnish
- Roasted sesame seeds for garnish
For the marinade
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 egg
For the dredging
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
For the honey sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 1/4 cup chicken stock
Instructions
- To begin, prepare the sauce mixture. Mix together oil, honey, light soy sauce, sugar, chicken stock, and cornflour in a bowl. If you do not have stock available, you can use half a cube of Maggi Super Seasoning in ¼ cup water instead. Mix well until the sugar dissolves. Keep aside.
