Looking for a nutritious and tasty snack? Packed full of oats, sunflower seeds, and dried fruits, the nut-free muesli bars provide the perfect balance between health and flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, and goji berries)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions

  • To begin, in a large bowl, mix together rolled oats, dried fruits, and sunflower seeds. Keep aside.
  • Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper. I have used an 8"x8" square dish.
  • Melt butter, honey, and sugar in a pan over medium heat. Add in vanilla essence. Simmer for 1-2 minutes,
  • Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Now, spread this mixture into the greased/lined dish. Flatten and press it down firmly with a spatula to ensure the bars stick together.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set. Remove from the dish and slice it into bars.
  • The nut-free muesli bars are ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • My kitchen is a nut-free kitchen. If you want to add nuts to the muesli bars, reduce the quantity of the other ingredients accordingly. The mixture should amount to two cups.
