Tomato Basil Farfalle Pasta

Using minimal ingredients, rustle up a flavorful pasta in no time. Try out this easy recipe for the savory and satisfying Italian-inspired Tomato Basil Farfalle Pasta.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried farfalle pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sliced garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- To begin, boil pasta in salted water unitl al dente according to the instructions on the package. Drain and keep ¼ cup of the water aside for later use.
- Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan. Add sliced garlic and chopped onions. Saute until translucent.
- Next, add halved cherry tomatoes. Season with salt, white pepper, red chilli flakes, and dried parsley. Cook until the tomatoes soften a bit. They should not be mushy.
- Add in the boiled pasta along with ¼ cup of the pasta water.
- Add basil leaves torn into pieces along with lemon juice. Mix well.
- Check the salt and add more if required.
- The Tomato Basil Farfalle Pasta is ready to serve.

Mam, I have not seen anyone so inspirational with food, cooking and recipes. What I feel is that you breath, smell, enjoy , dream and imagine nothing other than your cooking every day. You know , that’s the reason you can gift us such amazing recipes on a constant basis and that to with simple handy ingredients without compromising on taste and nutrition. Pasta is my husband’s one favorite dish, but this time I will make him prepare for me following this recipe, because he cooks pasta pretty well. Thanks you for the recipe.

Madhu mam, pasta is our family favourite. Your recipe is healthy without any sauce and mayo. I love to try it out. As I am bored with same pasta recipe. Thank you for sharing.

I love this recipe Madhu Ma’am as you can twist it around in many ways. I sometimes add turmeric and use the normal tomatoes and term it curry pasta. My kids love it n so do I n I use fusilli, penne… anything. Now I am keen to try farfelle.

That picture is so luring. I have messed up pasta many times as it gets too mushy. But I am going to follow the timer and I like the shape of this pasta, so definitely getting this one.

I love Farfelle pasta, especially the tomato recipe as I am lactose intolerant and I cannot eat cheese. But your recipe is different, Madhuji and I am going to try it out. Thank you for the delectable recipe.
